Covid-19 Health & Safety Policy
We are very happy to announce that Right Way Sports will be running our summer sports camp at Ambler Primary School. We are committed to making sure that the children stay active and have fun whilst keeping them safe and following government guidelines. Due to the pandemic we've had to make some adjustments to our normal schedule. Please read all the details below to find out what we're doing to keep everyone safe this summer. Please be aware that these rules may change in the upcoming weeks dependant on government guidelines, we will always keep parents/carers updated with any developments.
1 - Reduced Summer Sports Camp capacity
Strictly no more than 45 children to attend the sports camp per week.
2 - 15 children per group
Strictly no more than 15 children per group, these children will stay with their bubble & the same coach throughout the week.
3 - Sporting activities
Each activity will be carefully planned and adapted to maintain social distancing, non-contact sports to be avoided. Each group will be allocated a different area of the school to complete their activities.
4 - Staggered lunch & break times
Each bubble will be allocated a different area to have their snacks/lunch, this will also be staggered to make sure that bubbles are not mixing together.
5 - Sufficient Indoor Space
To accommodate the children in the event of bad weather we have indoor halls, the lodge and classrooms available to maintain social distancing.
6 - Hand washing
Children will be reminded to wash their hands regularly before and after each activity. Hand sanitiser will be available around different locations within the schools, children are able to bring their own hand sanitiser if preferred.
7 - Pick-ups and drop-offs
Parents to drop children off at the entrance of Vince’s lodge where a member of staff will collect your child and sign in electronically. Parents and carers will not be permitted to enter the premies unless in the event of an emergency. Children will wash their hands throughly upon arrival before being taken to their bubble the same procedure will take place before your child leaves the camp.
8 - Enhanced cleaning procedures
All equipment will be wiped down with anti-bacteria wipes after each activity. Establish arrangements for all frequently touched surfaces and equipment e.g. door handles, handrails, table tops. A deep clean will take place every evening once all children have left the premises.
9 - Weekly bookings only
To reduce the number of children mixing throughout the week we are only accepting weekly bookings throughout the summer camps.
10 - Health and safety of staff
All members of staff will maintain high levels of hygiene and will wash hands before, during and after sports camp. Coaches will not be interchanged throughout the week.
